On February 3, the "Information Day" event was held in the main reading hall of the Educational and Information Center for the Graduate Schools of "Information Technologies and Energy," "Management and Business," "Textile and Food Engineering," and the Faculty of "Law." The exhibition featured new books that had been added to the library collection in 2024, as well as an introduction to the electronic resources of the EIC. The exhibition was attended by faculty and students from the graduate schools and faculty, with the faculty members from the "Law" department participating especially actively. They, in turn, expressed their sincere gratitude to the library staff for organizing the event.
As a result of the II National Competition "Global Scicall: The Fund of New Knowledge," held in 2024 by the international publishers of Almaty-Moscow "EDP Hub" and IPR MEDIA, the leader of the "History and Ethnology" Research Center at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, author of the textbook "Abaitanu," Sholpan Torgautova, was awarded third place in the "Best Textbook and Teaching Aid" category among university scholars and educators. She ranked III out of 76 works in the field of "Social and Humanities Sciences."
According to the official rules of the competition, the works that made it into the top three will be published in electronic format with all the publication details, including the assignment of all necessary numbers and indices, including ISBN. Additionally, all participants will receive certificates of publication, a letter of appreciation addressed to the head (rector/director) of the educational institution (university/college), and a participant certificate for the National Competition. Moreover, the work will be published on our international educational platforms, which have a 3-million-strong readership, and its metadata will be sent to the RINC - E-Library (15 million readers), significantly influencing the promotion and ranking of the publication. Within a month of the announcement of the results, each work will be assigned a DOI index, which will impact the scientometric indicators of the scholar.

According to the official rules of the contest, all winning entries will be published in electronic format with full bibliographic details, including ISBN, and all necessary identifiers and indexes will be assigned. In addition, all participants will receive certificates of publication, a National Contest Participant Certificate, and an official letter of appreciation addressed to the head of their respective educational institution (university/college rector or director).
In addition, the winning paper will be published on international educational platforms with an audience of 3 million readers, while its metadata will be submitted to the RSCI-E (Russian Science Citation Index) library, which reaches 15 million readers - significantly increasing the visibility and impact of the publication.
Within a month after the results are announced, each paper is assigned a DOI index, which directly affects the author's scientometric indicators.
