On February 14, in honor of International Book Giving Day, the Information and Education Center and the Youth Center of M. Auezov University organized an event under the title "Give a Book from the Heart" with the participation of the youth from the "Aqikhat" Debate Center. The members of the "Aqikhat" Debate Center traditionally hold a festive event every year on the occasion of "February 14 - International Book Giving Day." A week before the event, a drawing is held, and each participant is assigned to give a book related to fiction, psychology, or personal development to another participant. This event, aimed at promoting and developing a reading culture among young people, was attended by 80 students. Additionally, the participants read poetry by famous classical poets, and talented youth played traditional music on the dombra and sang songs. This year, the youth invited others to read the works of T. Alimkulov and Z. Najimedenov, which were selected as part of the "One Country - One Book" initiative.
On February 11-12, the "Information Day" event was held in the reading hall of Building "A" of the Educational and Information Center for the Graduate School of "Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology." The exhibition featured new books that had been added to the library collection in 2024, as well as an introduction to the electronic resources of the EIC. The exhibition was visited by faculty and students of the Graduate School, who, in turn, expressed their sincere gratitude to the library staff for organizing the event.
